WASHINGTON D.C. – On Wednesday, 5:15pm, a suspect was gunned down one block away from the Capitol. Capitol City Police were performing a routine traffic stop on the intersection of 100th and Massachusetts avenue, when the suspect failed to stop and attempted to flee the area. As the officers followed, the suspect got out of the car with a weapon and was gunned down. Capitol City Police Spokesperson, Kate James, was asked during a press conference whether the police knew any motives for the suspect’s behavior and stated, “The investigation is on going at this time.” According to James, the suspect was pronounced dead and she noted that the situation did not have any relation to an attack on the Obama Administration. Capitol City Police did notice the suspects weapon but James failed to specify the type of weapon the suspect was carrying.
